It was first time for me to attend SOL CUP, and I enjoyed this 4 days.
I think you were surprised about Japan golf association DID check so many things beyond necessity.

I met foreign people at this SOL CUP, and had communication with them, this makes me that I would like to become proficient in English and golf play.

I think you, John is so nice and play golf very well. I was so happy that you were there to been taken pictures with me, and you tried to talk to me at the party.

BTW, how about Japan ? Did you enjoy Tokyo ?
Please let me know if you visit Tokyo again, I will take you around there.

お別れの日にメールアドレスを聞きたかったのですがチャンスがなくて聞けませんでした。
しかしこのままもう会えないのは悲しかったので、せめて連絡だけでもとって欲しいと思い、赤坂まで行ってしまいました。迷惑だったらごめんなさい。

私はSOL CUPは初出場だったのですが、とても楽しい４日間でした。
日本のゴルフ協会は細かいことに必要以上に厳しく、びっくりすることも多かったのではないでしょうか？
外人の方々と出会い、コミュニケーションをとったことでもっと英語を話せるようになりたい！もっとゴルフも上手になりたい！と思いました。
Johnはとてもかっこいいしゴルフも上手なのに写真を一緒に撮ってくれたりパーティーの最後に私に話し掛けてくれて、本当に嬉しかったです。

ところで、日本はどうでしたか？東京で沢山たのしめましたか？
また日本に来る事があれば案内するので言ってください☆

beyond that, は結構会話でも使うかもしれません。

それを越えて、範囲を超えて、みたいな感じで使うことが多いです。
